MEET THE FOUNDER
For me, skincare has always been about more than giving someone a good facial. Over the years, I’ve worked with so many different people and skin concerns, and I’ve seen firsthand how much our skin can affect the way we feel about ourselves. I’ve worked with clients who struggled with acne and didn’t feel comfortable leaving the house without makeup, as well as clients dealing with sensitivity, aging, texture, and changes they simply didn’t understand. Seeing their skin improve and watching their confidence come back with it is still one of the reasons I love what I do.
Skin is chemistry, and it is constantly changing. Age, stress, lifestyle, hormones, environment, seasons, and daily habits can all affect how the skin looks, feels, and responds. There is no single formula that works for everyone, and even the same person may need something completely different as their skin changes. Understanding those changes is an important part of creating healthier skin for the long term.
Great skincare also comes from paying attention to the skin over time. Science and technique are important, but so is understanding how each individual responds from one session to the next. Sometimes the skin needs more support, sometimes it needs time to recover, and sometimes the entire approach needs to change. This is why consistency and communication are such an important part of the process. The more we understand your skin, the better we can make decisions together as it continues to change.
That same philosophy is behind TKNY SKIN as a private, referral based practice. This was never meant to be a high volume studio where every appointment follows the same routine. The intention is to create a more personal experience where there is time to listen, understand your skin, follow its progress, and build trust over the years. It is not about coming in for one treatment and disappearing. It is about having someone who knows your skin and can continue working with you through its different stages.
To me, beautiful skin is not about perfection or a quick fix. It comes from understanding your skin, staying consistent, and knowing when to adjust what you are doing. My goal is to help you get there and to be someone you can trust with your skin for years to come.
